Order #: 00785 Born in the Ukraine in 1900, into a Sephardic family, Pinchik made his cantorial debut at the age of sixteen in the Kiev synagogue. Possesing a beautiful tenor voice, his version of "Rozo D'Shabbos", taken from the Zohar and sung in Arameic, set the standard by which all other interpretations are measured.The selections on this Cd were recorded between 1928 and 1930. These are truely beautiful and stirring performances.
